As part of the overall Cultural Marketing Strategy for Asana, we will be focusing on mental health at work as one of our core focuses. This is a very hot topic for workers in America at the moment, as we continue to struggle with some of the challenges brought on or exacerbated by the pandemic.
We will kick off this narrative timed with Mental Health Awareness month in May. Asana will act as strategic guidance for creative ideation.
The Most Important To-Do: You
May is #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, and we want to dedicate this time to address mental well-being at work, home, and everywhere in between that all connects to the most important to-do: you.
Through our recent Anatomy of Work Index, we’ll share advice on how to deal with work stressors, tips on how to find focus, and gentle reminders (that look like the ones on Asana!) to take breaks.
Because when you and your team feel the best, productivity, clarity, and creativity naturally follow. Comment below with reachable, WIP mental wellness goals you aim to focus on this month and beyond. 🙌

Talk The Talk - Poll Results & Tips 1
Our recent Instagram poll found that over 1/3 of you believe a lack of clarity and direction for your work is the biggest challenge.
When switching constantly between answering emails and pings, attending meetings, and trying to figure out what to do first (aka "context switching"), work can quickly spiral out of control. 😵💫
Here are 3 ways you and your team can work collaboratively to ease the mental drain of context switching.

What if we switched the term “work-life balance” to “life-work balance” instead? 💡 Doing so will reflect the order of what we should prioritize.
Our #AsanaTogether community gave their takes on what “life-work balance” means to them. There’s no one-size-fits-all definition, so it’s eye-opening to see our introspective ambassadors’ insight on how life and work can coexist harmoniously.

When it comes to burnout, you’re not alone. In fact, one in four workers struggle with this four or more times every year. We wanted to check in with you and make sure that you’re on track with your most important to-do (you) by listening to your body.
Here are a few tell-tale signs of burnout:
1️⃣ You feel emotionally, mentally, and physically drained
2️⃣ Bad days > good days
3️⃣ Work is overwhelming
4️⃣ You have little to no motivation
Burnout is real and far too common, but it can be managed early on before it snowballs. Put yourself first by paying attention to these symptoms so you can healthily cope with stress from here on out. Share this post with a friend or a fellow coworker so everyone can stay accountable.

A hybrid or remote working environment has its ups, downs, and loop-de-loops. 🎢 The trade-off to skipping your commute here and there (or entirely) is blurred boundaries—people don’t know when to switch from “work time” to “me time”. For Gen-Zers who are getting onboarded in a hybrid work environment, the struggle is very real: 53% agree that there are no clear start/finish times.
Taking care of the most important to-do (you) means that boundaries have to be established and maintained, no matter how intimidating that can be.
How have you adjusted to flexible, remote, or hybrid working conditions? 🤔💭
